We are proud of our community involvement.
CCBSS is committed to giving back to the communities where we do business — and call home. We encourage community service, both by sponsoring initiatives as a company and by offering our associates programs that support their volunteer activities. Donating time and resources, all of our locations work with worthy organizations to provide support locally and nationally.
Supporting Our Neighbors!
Our Targeted Sales Team, located in Tulsa, OK, have volunteered at the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma several times throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. The mission of this food bank is to feed the hungry of eastern Oklahoma through a network of partner agencies and to engage communities in ending hunger. The team had various roles ranging from registering families as they arrived, keeping food easily accessible, and stocking and loading the food items into the cars of recipients. The team had a great time helping during these unprecedented times and were happy to showcase the true spirit of CCBSS.
The Gift of Knowledge!
Members of the Manufacturing Procurement team, located in Atlanta, GA, spent time assisting the Books For Africa organization at their Atlanta Warehouse. They packed book donations into boxes and readied them for shipment to Namibia. The organization supplies sea containers of books to rural school libraries, orphanages, adult literacy programs, and community resource centers. They strive to help create a culture of literacy and provide the tools of empowerment to the next generation of parents, teachers, and leaders in Africa. Our team was proud to support such an amazing organization!
Many CCBSS associates once again volunteered at the USO care packaging stuffing party hosted by The Coca-Cola Company in 2019. With more than 20,000 packages stuffed, the USO proclaimed our team the best when it comes to care package stuffing events. Well over 300 volunteers came to help stuff packages for service members.
Piedmont Park Beautification 2019
CCBSS associates in Atlanta volunteered at Piedmont Park Conservancy’s “Day in the Dirt” program, promoting environmental stewardship and making an immediate and tangible impact on the park. The CCBSS team spread mulch in one of the park’s central areas — and their efforts paid off in beautifying one of Atlanta’s premier locations.
